The hosts started the game on the front foot, putting Inter Lagos under pressure.

Inter Lagos fought back, with Adigun Damilare restoring parity for the visitors minutes later, following a beautiful cross.

Sodiq Ibrahim converted from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time to hand Shooting Stars the lead for the second time in the game.
