NPFL: Inter Lagos intensify preparations for new season
Inter Lagos head coach Shakiru Giwa says the club will work hard to be ready for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.
Giwa stressed that optimum fitness will give his side an advantage in a league known for its intensity and travel demands.
He revealed that training sessions are being structured to improve endurance, speed, and recovery.
“Fitness is key for us this season,” Giwa told Sportslighthub.
“We want to build a team that can compete for 90 minutes, home and away.”
Giwa added that the technical crew will monitor the players progress closely to avoid injuries.
Inter Lagos gained promotion to the NPFL for the first time in their history last season.
