“Nobody Believed Me, They Called Me Ungrateful”- Odogwu Asaba Former Salesgirl Says Social Media Attacked Her for Speaking Out

A former salesgirl who worked at the boutique of Asaba-based content creator Odogwu Asaba has spoken out following his arrest over allegations linked to the death of 20-year-old nursing student, Favour Agbro.

In a viral video, the woman said she was heavily criticised on social media when she previously shared her experience with her former boss. According to her, many people accused her of being ungrateful and disrespectful instead of listening to her claims.

Her comments come after Odogwu Asaba was remanded by police over allegations that he allegedly raped Favour after inviting her to attend a Facebook and TikTok monetisation class in Asaba. The nursing student was later reported to have died by suicide. The suspect remains in police custody while investigations continue.

Reacting to the latest development, the former employee said:

“When I came out earlier to speak about what Odogwu Asaba did to me, many people on social media called me ungrateful and said I had no respect.”

The statement has reignited conversations online, with many users reflecting on the dangers of dismissing alleged victims before investigations are concluded. Others, however, urged the public to allow the legal process to take its course and avoid reaching conclusions before the police complete their investigation.
