“No matter how good you are, I see myself cheating” — Man sparks debate on fidelity in marriage

A man has sparked debate online after openly declaring that he does not believe he can remain faithful to one woman throughout a marriage.

The man shared his views in a post that has since attracted widespread attention across social media platforms, where discussions about commitment, monogamy, and marital expectations continue to generate strong opinions.

According to him, despite appreciating the value of a committed relationship, he has accepted what he described as a personal inability to remain faithful to one partner for life.

Man explains his stance on relationships

While explaining his position, the man said he intends to fulfil other responsibilities expected of a husband, including providing for his family and caring for his spouse.

He, however, maintained that faithfulness is not something he believes he can guarantee in any relationship.

“It’s already a part of me that I have accepted, and the best I can do is to make sure to be discreet about it, not to rub it on her face, use condoms, and being the best man I can be to her in every possible way. But you see fidelity? I can never promise that to any woman.”

Post generates mixed reactions online

The man further stated that he has never remained faithful in any of his previous relationships and does not expect marriage to change that reality.

“I have never stayed faithful in any relationship, and I don’t see myself doing that in marriage.”
