Nigerian Author Queenesther Michael Hogan Marks 27th Birthday with Launch of 27 Books

A Nigerian-born author, social entrepreneur, and girls advocate, Queenesther Michael Hogan, has reached a remarkable milestone in her literary and leadership journey, publishing 27 books at the age of 27, a project she says is designed to inspire a new generation of young leaders and entrepreneurs.

The milestone project, titled “27 Books by 27,” was unveiled during a book launch event in Abuja that coincided with Hogan’s 27th birthday on March 9, 2026. The event, which marked her second major book launch, brought together young professionals, students, community leaders, and advocates interested in leadership, entrepreneurship, and social development.

Speaking during the event, Queenesther described the book collection as a reflection of her life experiences, growth, and commitment to empowering others.

“This collection of 27 books is a testament to the different seasons of life, the lessons I have learned, and the impact I hope to make,” Hogan said.

“Each book reflects purpose, resilience, and the importance of lifting others as we rise.”

Early Beginnings in Writing

Queenesther’s journey into writing began more than a decade ago. She started writing poems as a teenager at the age of 12 while living in her father’s home, inspired by a literature teacher during her secondary school years.

Her passion for writing later expanded into storytelling, with one of her early stories performed at her church. What began as a creative outlet gradually developed into a lifelong mission of sharing knowledge and empowering others.

After graduating from university at the age of 22, Queenesther published her first nonfiction book titled “Done and Dusted: Maximizing Your Undergraduate Years.” The book, which provides practical guidance for students on how to make the most of their university experience, was formally launched when she turned 23.

Since then, she has steadily expanded her body of work, writing across multiple genres that focus on personal development, leadership, career growth, entrepreneurship, and global citizenship.

The “27 Books by 27” series includes titles such as: Now That You Are Young and Unmarried, Your Guide to Maximizing Global Events, Mentored, Wired to Win, Declutter, and The Community Management Bible.

According to Queenesther, the project was designed not only to document her journey but also to provide practical tools for young people navigating life, career decisions, and leadership opportunities.

“The purpose of this series is to document my story and strategies while empowering young leaders, entrepreneurs, students, and professionals with practical tools for personal growth, career development, and social impact,” she explained.

She added that the books were written with a global audience in mind, especially young people seeking direction and purpose.

“These books are designed for anyone who wants practical guidance, inspiration, and strategies to maximize their potential in a global context,” she said.

Advocacy Beyond Writing

Beyond her literary accomplishments, Hogan is also actively involved in social advocacy through her initiative, FishHer Africa.

For more than three years, the organization has worked with adolescent girls across Nigeria, promoting Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), menstrual hygiene awareness, menstrual waste management, and educational empowerment.

Through the initiative, several community-based projects have been implemented, including menstrual hygiene campaigns, gender education workshops, digital literacy programmes, and policy conversations aimed at improving opportunities for girls.

Some of the notable projects include Dutse Pad Drive, which distributes menstrual hygiene products to underserved communities, Plastics for Pad, a sustainability initiative that converts plastic waste into funding for sanitary pads for girls, Project Moho, a menstrual waste management initiative and Simbi Goes Back to School, which equips adolescent girls with digital literacy skills and knowledge of their rights.

The organization has also hosted Her Futures Conference, bringing together policymakers, advocates, and stakeholders to develop policies that support adolescent girls, particularly in conflict-affected regions.

According to Hogan, her ten year work in community development strongly influences her writing and leadership philosophy.

“My work with adolescent girls fuels my passion for writing, leadership, and advocacy,” she said.

A Platform for Inspiration

The Abuja launch event featured storytelling sessions, networking opportunities, and reflections on Hogan’s journey as an author and social entrepreneur.

Participants were given insights into the experiences and lessons that shaped the books, as well as the challenges and determination behind the achievement.

For many attendees, the milestone represents more than literary productivity, it symbolizes the power of vision, discipline, and purpose.
