‘Nigeria Will Never Remain the Same Again’ — Akpabio Hails Tinubu’s Reforms, Says Promises Are Becoming Reality

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as the successful implementation of key reforms, expressing confidence that the administration is fulfilling the promises it made to Nigerians before assuming office.

Akpabio made the remarks while addressing the President at a public event, where he praised the Federal Government’s policy direction and stated that the impact of its reforms is already becoming visible across the country.

According to the Senate President, the Tinubu administration has remained committed to its vision of transforming Nigeria, insisting that the changes introduced since the President took office are beginning to produce tangible results.

Addressing President Tinubu directly, Akpabio said:

“We’re proud of your reforms, Mr President. You promised that under your tenure, when you are through with Nigeria, Nigeria will not be the same again. We are seeing it.”

His remarks were widely interpreted as a strong endorsement of the administration’s economic and governance agenda, which has included major policy decisions aimed at restructuring the country’s economy and public institutions.

The Senate President’s comments come at a time when public debate continues over the effects of the Federal Government’s reforms. While supporters of the administration argue that the policies are necessary to reposition the economy and lay the foundation for long-term growth and stability, critics have continued to express concerns over the rising cost of living, inflation, and the financial pressure experienced by many Nigerians.

Akpabio’s endorsement has further intensified discussions surrounding the Tinubu administration’s performance, with political observers noting that his comments reflect the continued support of the leadership of the National Assembly for the President’s reform agenda.

The statement has also renewed attention on the relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government, as both institutions continue to work together on policies and legislative measures aimed at implementing the administration’s programmes.

As reactions continue to trail the Senate President’s remarks, Nigerians remain divided over the pace and impact of the ongoing reforms, with many closely monitoring whether the policies will ultimately translate into lasting economic improvement and better living conditions for citizens.
