The NFL is reportedly deliberating on Jed York’s arrest after he was taken in last week as part of a prostitution sting.
The San Francisco 49ers owner found himself in the middle of a legal scandal in an Ohio mobile community after he was allegedly caught paying for sex.
Although the charges have since been reduced to misdemeanors, the National Football League is still deciding on the appropriate punishment for York.
During the NFL owners’ meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, on Wednesday, Commissioner Roger Goodell commented on York’s incident, saying the league is deciding where he will be punished.
“It’s being reviewed under the personal conduct policy. We’ll do that, and when there’s something to be reported, we’ll talk,” he revealed, according to ESPN.
Goodell made no reference to the initial prostitution charges against York, which were changed to disorderly conduct. He was also charged with possession of criminal tools after holding the phone with which he contacted the sex worker.
Over the weekend, the billionaire team owner was picked up by agents of the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force for arranging to pay $140 to solicit sex.

As The Blast reported, during an episode of “Nightcap” alongside Joe Jackson and Shannon Sharpe, Johnson questioned why York was willing to pay that high a price for sex.
“The man tried to get a little hoo-ha. It used to be $40, you know. … Inflation,” he playfully commented. However, co-host Johnson blamed York, claiming he should have been aware the situation was a setup because of the price.
However, Johnson argued the poor economy is responsible for the high price.

According to The Blast, the 46-year-old engaged with a false ad about a sex worker on multiple occasions using a fake name.
A report from the task force confirmed that York went by the pseudonym “Joe,” talking to the prostitute, who happened to be an undercover agent, two times on Saturday and once on Sunday.
The pair had already arranged to meet up in East Palestine, Ohio, where he was picked up.

Law enforcement apprehended the billionaire at the Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community in Ohio.
However, the management of the private residence has since spoken up, clarifying that their community isn’t a location for debauchery and wasn’t a part of the police sting operation.
As reported by The Blast, a statement from Wheat Hill read, “I just got off the phone with the Chief of Police for East Palestine, Chief Weingart. According to the chief, Jed York was arrested in the park because that’s where he happened to pull over.”
The 42-lot mobile home town has been described as an “all-ages community” that boasts supplied water and sewer services.
An excerpt from the website read, “Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community is a clean, quiet, and affordable place to call home. This is not the type of place that Jerry Springer would ever find people to be on his show.”
