NDC: I Never Lifted A Finger In Nnewi South Because If I Did, Somebody Would Have Been Dead-Ohaegbu

Obunike Ohaegbu, a House of Representatives aspirant for the Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency in Anambra State, has offered further clarification on the controversy surrounding the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) primary election, claiming that security concerns influenced decisions taken during the exercise.
Ohaegbu made the remarks during an interview on Channels Television, on Tuesday, 9 June, 2026, while responding to issues raised by ADC chieftain Kenneth Okonkwo regarding the conduct of the party’s primary election in Anambra State.
During the interview, the aspirant explained that voting did not take place in Nnewi North on the day of the election due to a crisis and shutdown in the area.
