My Family Cannot Do It Again – Cynthia Anijekwu Cries Out as She Battles Cancer

Popular Nollywood actress Cynthia Anijekwu has made an emotional appeal to Nigerians for financial assistance after revealing that she is battling cancer for the second time.

The actress shared her heartbreaking story in a video posted by her colleague, Destiny Etiko, where she broke down in tears while speaking about her ongoing health challenges.

According to Cynthia, she was first diagnosed with cancer in 2023 and underwent surgery as well as chemotherapy in a bid to overcome the illness. However, despite the treatment, the cancer later returned.

She revealed that doctors recently informed her that the disease has now spread to her bones, making her treatment more complicated and expensive.

Speaking in the emotional video, she said:

“I have been in the hospital in and out. The recent shocking news the doctor gave me is that it has reached my bone, and the treatment now is higher. I have spent 600 and something in a month and it is not an easy thing.

“The doctor said after this, I would go for radiation and I would do surgery too, so it is not an easy thing. My family can’t do anymore, so I am pleading with you (Nigerians). Even my hands have swollen.”
