Military Officers Catch Cable Thief At Dawn, Force Him To Dance And Entertain Before Handing Him To Police

A suspected cable thief has been arrested at the Kpone Freezone after he was allegedly caught cutting armoured cables at an abandoned block factory in the early hours of the morning.

According to reports, the suspect was intercepted by military officers who were on duty in the area around 3:00 a.m. while allegedly carrying out the operation.

The officers reportedly found him with tools believed to have been used to cut the cables.

After his arrest, the suspect was handed over to the Police for further investigation and possible prosecution.

A video circulating online captures the moment the suspect was being held by the officers. In the footage, the man appeared worried and anxious as the officers questioned him.

The officers were also seen asking him to perform some dance moves before taking him away.

The unusual scene attracted attention online, with many viewers expressing mixed reactions.

While some condemned the alleged theft of public and private property, others criticised the officers for turning the arrest into a form of entertainment.

Cable theft has become a major concern in Ghana, with authorities warning that such activities can cause power disruptions, financial losses and damage to critical infrastructure.
