Man United Plot More Midfield Deals Even After Ederson Agreement

Manchester United are set to bring in more than one midfielder this summer, even as they close in on a deal for Atalanta’s Ederson.

The club has reportedly agreed on a transfer fee of €45 million, including add-ons, for the Brazilian midfielder, who is expected to put pen to paper on a four-year contract at Old Trafford.

However, renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has indicated that manager Michael Carrick is not stopping there, with at least one more midfield addition in the pipeline.

The need for further reinforcements is driven by the anticipated departures of Manuel Ugarte and Casemiro, both of whom are expected to leave the club before the end of the summer transfer window.

Romano noted that Ederson would only be the first of United’s midfield signings this window, adding that a second arrival is already being planned, with the possibility of a third under the right circumstances.
