MAN South East Chairman hails Soludo on appointment of Prof. Omenugha as VC of COOU
South-East/Anambra Chairman of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Lady Dr. Ada Chukwudozie has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for appointing Prof Kate Omenugha as substantive Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University COOU, Igbariam, Anambra State.
Dr. Chukwudozie made the commendation on July 19, 2026 at a special thanksgiving mass in honour of Omenugha’s appointment and celebration of her husband, Dr. Michael Omenugha on his 70th birthday at Saint Paul’s Catholic Church, Nnobi in Idemili South Local Government Area of the State.
While felicitating with Dr Omenugha on his birthday, the MAN boss who doubled as the Chairman of Keystone Bank and close friend to the family showered blessing upon the celebrants, praying that celebration would not seize in their home.
In a homily, Catholic Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Most Rev Jonas Benson Okoye, who presided over the thanksgiving mass described thanksgiving as a pathway to greater blessings.
He urged residents of the state to join hands with government to reclaim the state from erosion by avoiding practices that fuel such disaster, just as he wished the celebrants God’s blessings.
One of the celebrants and COOU VC, Prof Omenugha, who was full of joy, expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for His faithfulness, wisdom and strength granted to her in piloting the affairs of the University since she was inaugurated.
She appreciated the Visitor, Governor Soludo for her appointment as VC and support of the university management, staff and students, attributing every recorded success of the institution since her assumption to collective efforts and divine grace.
On his part, one of the sons of the celebrants, Dr. Nelson Omenugha, who described his parents as precious gifts to him, said the occasion was a big opportunity for them to thank God for His goodness in their lives.
“The ceremony is also an opportunity to demonstrate gratitude to all those who have played one role or the other in the success of my family,” he added.
