Man be@ten to de@th weeks to his wedding in Lagos

A man identified simply as Basit, who had just returned to Nigeria from abroad for his wedding, was allegedly k!lled following a hit-and-run in the Lagos Island area of Lagos State last Wednesday, September 2.

Eyewitnesses claim that the deceased had used his car to hit a male resident trying to cross the road in the Patey area of the community. Instead of stopping to help to the victim, he allegedly drove . The aggrieved residents of the area gave him a hot chase, and when they caught up with him, they allegedly be@t him up, inflicting serious injuries on his head. He was left unconscious and later passed away.

Basit was said to be gearing up for his wedding scheduled for later this month when the unfortunate incident happened.

The Lagos state police command is yet to react to the unfortunate incident.
