Love or Strategy? Nigerians react to Peller, Jarvis’s court wedding

Nigerian content creator and streaming sensation Habeeb Hamzat (Peller), have officially and legally tied the knot with fellow content creator Elizabeth Amadou (Jarvis) at a federal marriage registry.

The videos from the ceremony quickly went viral as the couple proudly flashed their marriage certificate. The union however, got Nigerians talking about age, wealth, and the reality of love in the creator economy.

By legally cementing their union, the duo has rewritten the playbook for local internet stardom. This isn’t just a marriage; it is the corporate merger of two massive digital brands. Fans debated whether their on-screen chemistry was genuine or just a highly lucrative ploy for views, gifts, and algorithm dominance.

The debate surrounding their registry wedding, however centers heavily on age, maturity and readiness. While some critics argue that Peller is far too young to shoulder the emotional weight of a marriage, others have thrown in their full support, noting that there is no such thing as a perfect time to get married.

The online debate also shifted from the topic of romance and compatibility to the couple’s assets. Ossai Ovie Success, the media assistant to the Delta State Governor, urged the young couple to sign a prenuptial agreement.
