Lady stirs outrage after detailing food she ate at alleged Alexx Ekubo’s funeral ceremony

A lady has stirred mixed reactions online after sharing a video in which she enthusiastically listed the meals she claimed were served during a funeral ceremony held in honour of actor Alexx Ekubo.

In the viral clip, the woman addressed critics who accused attendees of focusing more on food than mourning, insisting that eating at a funeral gathering is normal when refreshments are provided.

According to her, guests were served a variety of items, including small chops, goat meat pepper soup, catfish pepper soup, and the popular local combination of roasted corn and pear.

She particularly praised the size and quality of the pear served at the event, joking that those criticizing attendees for eating should simply refuse food whenever they attend funeral ceremonies themselves.

The woman further explained that guests also danced during the gathering, describing it as a celebration of a life she believed had been well lived and fulfilled.

She said …

“So this was everything I ate at Alexx Ekubo’s funeral. Now for those of you that say ‘you people went there to eat, why did you people eat’. If e reach your turn if them give you food if you reach funeral, use am rub body. Cry use the cry rub body. Anyways, we had small chops, we had goat meat pepper, I think they also had catfish pepper soup, but I ate goat meat pepper soup… And then then the last but not the least was corn and pear. Oh my goodness it was so good too see corn and pear. And this pear I don’t know where they got it from because it was so gigantic.

After that we danced, yes o, we danced because we are celebrating a man who lived a good life and fulfilled life at 40….”
