Kizz Daniel returns with ‘Owo Oluwa’, unveils first official single of 2026

Nigerian Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel has returned to the music scene with “Owo Oluwa,” his first official single of 2026 and the lead single from his forthcoming album, Radio Gidi.

The singer, whose real name is Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, released the song on Tuesday, September 15, under his FlyBoy INC imprint in partnership with EMPIRE. The record features Afrobeats producer and singer Young Jonn, hitmaker Krizbeatz and Wave Choir.

The release marks an important point in Kizz Daniel’s 2026 campaign after the singer announced plans to release two albums during the year-Radio Gidi and Uncle K.

He disclosed the plans in May, describing the projects as his next major body of work following his 2025 EP, Uncle K: Lemon Chase.

“Owo Oluwa”, which roughly translates to “God’s money” or “the hand of God,” takes a more spiritual and gratitude-driven direction. The song blends Kizz Daniel’s familiar melodic Afrobeats delivery with choral elements supplied by Wave Choir, while Krizbeatz handles production.

The track opens with a house-influenced texture before settling into an Afrobeat groove. Kizz Daniel leads the record with lyrics centred on divine blessings and gratitude, while the choir provides a recurring refrain that gives the song a communal, praise-oriented character. Young Jonn also contributes vocals to the record.

The song had also generated anticipation before its official release, with snippets circulating online ahead of the full version.

Kizz Daniel subsequently teased the release on X with the message, “RG OTW – NEW MUSIC MIDNIGHT,” alongside promotional material connected to Radio Gidi.

The release comes after a relatively measured period for the singer, who had previously announced a break from releasing music until 2026 after his 2025 project.

His decision to return with a spiritually themed collaboration gives the new album campaign a different opening from the party-focused records that have characterised some of his earlier work.

Kizz Daniel has remained one of the established figures in Nigeria’s contemporary Afrobeats movement since breaking into the mainstream with “Woju” and later delivering major records including “Buga,” “Cough (Odo)” and “Twe Twe.” His last full-length album, Maverick, was released in 2023, while Uncle K: Lemon Chase followed in 2025.
