Khamenei adviser: Attack on Israel was a warning message, any new move will face a more painful response
Iranian Supreme Leader adviser and former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Mohsen Rezaei, said Iran’s missile attack on Israel was a response to violations of the ceasefire and attacks on Lebanon, warning that any further escalation would be met with a stronger response.
In a post on X on Monday, Rezaei said Iran “repeatedly stated that it will not tolerate violations of the ceasefire and aggression against Lebanon”.
“Tonight, the aggressors received their response,” he said. “This response is a warning to stop their evil; any new action will be met with a more crushing response and heavier costs,” he added.

On Sunday evening, Iran launched three waves of missiles towards northern Israel, according to Israeli media, marking the first such attack since the ceasefire came into effect on 8 April.
Israel’s Channel 12 reported that Iran fired three waves of missiles towards Israel, with one of the barrages consisting of four missiles.
The channel also reported damage in the city of Tiberias, while flight operations were suspended at Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv.
