Israeli military says it intercepted drone launched from Yemen over Eilat

The Israeli military said early on Tuesday that it intercepted a drone launched from Yemen after air raid sirens were activated in the southern Israeli city of Eilat.

In a statement, the military said the Israeli Air Force had intercepted a drone launched from Yemen after it entered the airspace of Eilat, without providing further details.

Israeli Army Radio reported that it was the first drone launched from Yemen in about two months and the second attack carried out by the Houthi movement in less than 24 hours, after missiles were fired towards central Israel early on Monday.

There was no immediate comment from the Houthis on the drone launch.

Saree warned that “all movements of the Israeli enemy have become military targets for our armed forces from the moment this statement was announced.”
