‘Is He A Robot?’ Chinese Soldier Stands Unfazed As Trump’s Air Force One Roars Past | WATCH

A Chinese military officer has become an unexpected internet sensation after a video showed him standing perfectly still as US President Donald Trump arrived in Beijing aboard Air Force One on Wednesday (May 13).

The clip, widely reshared across social media platforms, captured the officer maintaining complete composure while the massive Boeing aircraft moved nearby on the tarmac. The moment quickly sparked admiration, jokes, and debate online, with many users stunned by what they described as extraordinary discipline.

“That soldier didn’t even flinch and that’s the most disciplined thing I’ve ever seen,” one social media user wrote. “No matter how much I love my job, this is the risk which I am not prepared to take,” another user joked on X.

Some users were amazed by the officer’s calm demeanor despite the powerful aircraft nearby. “If I were standing on that tarmac next to that massive Boeing engine, my eardrums and legs would have given up before the plane even stopped,” one person commented. Another added, “Military training gives you that.”

Others questioned whether the situation was actually dangerous, with several users suggesting the aircraft only appeared closer because of camera angles. “Perspective nd focal length. The guy is like… 200 meters away from the plane,” one user wrote, while another echoed, “He’s like 100 yards away from the plane. It’s the camera angle.”

The viral moment unfolded as Trump arrived in Beijing for a high-stakes two-day visit with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The visit, originally planned for March but delayed because of the Iran war, is focused on easing tensions between the world’s two largest economies.

Trump was greeted at the airport by Chinese Vice-President Han Zheng alongside flag-waving crowds chanting “welcome.” The US president is accompanied by several major tech leaders, including Elon Musk and Jensen Huang.

The summit agenda includes tariffs, technology competition, Taiwan, and the ongoing Iran conflict.
