More details have come to light about the location where Jed York was arrested.
The San Francisco 49ers owner was taken into custody over the weekend after being caught soliciting for sex in an Ohio mobile community.
Now, it has been revealed that the shocking arrest was part of an undercover police sting that tied York to the location even though it wasn’t in the initial plan.
On Sunday, the billionaire was apprehended at the Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community after arranging to meet up and pay a sex worker $140.
What York thought would be a fun, transactional time turned out to be an undercover operation he walked right into.
However, the owner of the East Palestine community revealed that Wheat Hill wasn’t the designated meet-up point for the team owner and the worker.
“I just got off the phone with the Chief of Police for East Palestine, Chief Weingart. According to the chief, Jed York was arrested in the park because that’s where he happened to pull over,” a statement on Facebook shedding light on the incident read.
It further confirmed that their address was not part of the sting operation, describing the arrest as “shocking.”
According to The New York Post, the reality of Wheat Hill is far from a location where a prostitution arrest will take place.
Described as an “all-ages community,” it features a 42-lot mobile home town where residents are provided with water and sewer services, along with other amenities. The roads are plowed, and the school bus stops at the entrance.
A description on their website reads, “Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community is a clean, quiet, and affordable place to call home. This is not the type of place that Jerry Springer would ever find people to be on his show.”
Unfortunately, York’s arrest seemed to defy that truth.

York’s arrangement to meet a sex worker was traced after following his digital footprint. As reported by The Blast, the club owner engaged with an ad on a known prostitution website in Columbiana County, Ohio.
When he was detained, the cellphone “which was used to arrange the criminal act” was found on York, the report confirmed.
He was then processed and charged with one count of engaging in prostitution and one count of possessing criminal tools.
How York Escaped Jail Time In Prostitution Arrest
3The 46-year-old was booked into the county jail, with his fingerprints and mugshot taken. York donned the signature orange uniform.
However, he avoided the full wrath of the law after striking a deal that reduced his charges to disorderly conduct and one count of possessing criminal tools.
York pleaded no contest and was sentenced to a day in jail but was given credit for time already served.
He was also asked to pay a $1,150 fine and complete an online course, which he did, according to his attorney.

York is no stranger to troubles with the law, as this isn’t his first rodeo.
In 2023, he was embroiled in a nasty lawsuit for violating federal securities laws and allegedly engaging in insider trading as a board member of Chegg Inc., an educational company.
According to ESPN, York, along with the organization’s directors in Santa Clara, was accused of concealing the fact that Chegg Inc. helped students cheat on online tests. They reportedly received the answers instantly via their accounts.
This caused the company’s stock prices to surge amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but the truth was revealed when students returned to in-person classes and couldn’t keep up. The plummet was sharp.
Nevertheless, it was reported that York made a profit of $4.9 million from stock sales. The case came to a close two years later when a $55 million settlement was approved by a federal court.
