Injunction? What Injunction? Osebo The Zaraman Storms Gomoa Mpota To Pay Respects To Kantanka
Fashion entrepreneur Osebo the Zaraman has arrived at Gomoa Mpota to pay his final respects to the late Apostle Prof. Emeritus Ing. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, joining scores of other mourners who have defied a High Court injunction surrounding the funeral to attend the ceremony.
Videos from the scene show Osebo dressed in matching red mourning cloth alongside other funeral attendees, with images of the late industrialist emblazoned on their outfits, as part of the elaborate funeral proceedings underway at the Kantanka Automobile Manufacturing Centre.
His appearance adds to the wave of high-profile figures and everyday Ghanaians who have turned out at the venue despite an Accra High Court order granting a 10-day interim injunction restraining former Dome-Kwabenya MP Sarah Adwoa Safo from proceeding with the burial.
The dispute stems from a rift between Adwoa Safo and her brother, Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena, head of the Kristo Asafo Mission, over who holds the legal mandate to organise their father’s funeral.
Despite the legal cloud hanging over proceedings, the turnout at Gomoa Mpota, including notable figures like Osebo, suggests many Ghanaians remain determined to honour the celebrated inventor’s legacy regardless of how the family dispute ultimately resolves.
