I’m trying my best to be a good feminist, but my fellow women are not good customer service people” — Nigerian lady recounts experience with male and female customer service representatives

A Nigerian lady has sparked debate online after sharing her experiences with male and female customer service representatives.

According to her, she is trying her best to be a good feminist but has repeatedly had unpleasant experiences with women while trying to access customer service.

She said she recently spoke with a male customer service agent who attended to her politely and like “a normal human being,” unlike some female agents she claimed often come with unnecessary attitude.

The lady also recalled her experience with waitresses and female business owners, saying she had encountered women who appeared uninterested in attending to customers.

She shared an incident where she visited a store to buy sunglasses and asked for a cheaper option after being told the glasses cost ₦7,500. According to her, the shop attendant allegedly ignored her afterwards until she left the store.

She concluded by saying that, based on her personal experiences, many women need to improve their customer service skills.
