“I’d Rather Suffer And Die Here Than Go Back To Ghana” — Ghanaian Man In Germany

A Ghanaian man living in Germany has sparked reactions online after making a strong statement about his decision to remain abroad despite the challenges he may face.

The man reportedly made the comment while speaking to another Ghanaian he met in Berlin.

According to him, he would rather endure hardship in Germany than return to Ghana, stressing how strongly he feels about building his life outside the country.

“I would rather suffer and die here than go back to Ghana,” he told the fellow Ghanaian during their conversation.

His blunt statement has since attracted attention on social media, with many people discussing the reasons some Ghanaians living abroad are reluctant to return home even when life in foreign countries comes with its own difficulties.

For some, the decision to stay abroad is influenced by the hope of finding better economic opportunities, earning higher incomes and securing a more stable future.

Others, however, believe that life abroad is not always as easy as it may appear on social media, with migrants also facing high living costs, demanding jobs, loneliness and other challenges.
