I was not consulted before APC Campaign Listing – Toyin Abraham

Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has said she was not consulted before her name appeared on the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council’s Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate list.

Abraham made the clarification after her inclusion in the campaign council generated reactions online, stating that she had no prior knowledge of the listing.

In a tweet, the actress said her decision to distance herself from the council was not influenced by social media criticism but was based on her personal choice.

“Bro, I didn’t do it because of any bully. I did it because it was the right thing to do. I woke up and saw my name on a list I knew absolutely nothing about,” she said.

Abraham added that she had already made her position clear about staying away from political activities.

“Moreover, I’ve already said it, I’m not interested in politics,” she stated.

Her reaction followed the unveiling of the Lagos APC Campaign Council, where several entertainers, including Jide Kosoko, Eniola Badmus and other industry figures, were listed under the Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate.

The actress had earlier urged the public to disregard reports suggesting she was part of the campaign structure, insisting that she was not a member of any political campaign council.
