"I ‘m fine and healthy" – Video of late Mary Habila debunking her d3ath rumours 3 days before she d!ed at Umahi’s residence

A close friend and colleague of the late Mary Habila, Anita Baaki, has shared a video showing the 26-year-old dismissing false rumours of her death just days before she was found dead.

Mary Habila died on June 27, 2026, and her body was later discovered inside a room in one of the buildings within the country home of the Minister of Works, David Umahi, in Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

According to Anita, a physiotherapist from Benue State, false reports claiming that Mary had died first began circulating on social media on June 24, 2026.

She explained that the rumours prompted Mary to record a video the following day, June 25, to reassure friends, colleagues and the public that she was alive and in good health.

In the video, which Anita shared on Facebook on July 20, Mary appeared calm as she dismissed the reports, insisting that the claims about her death were untrue.

The resurfaced clip has sparked emotional reactions online, with many social media users expressing sadness over the tragic twist of events and reflecting on how she had publicly denied the rumours only days before her death.

Mary’s death attracted widespread attention after her body was found at the minister’s country residence, prompting calls for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Authorities are continuing investigations into the case, while family members, friends and members of the public await the outcome of the official inquiry.
