I Have Four Of My Granchildren With The K!dnappers – Elderly Woman Cries To Gov Makinde

An elderly woman has made a heartfelt appeal to Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, urging him to intensify efforts to secure the release of students and teachers abducted by suspected kidnappers in Oriire Local Government Area of the state.

The distraught grandmother, whose family members are among those being held captive, made the emotional plea on Saturday, May 30, as concerns continue to mount over the safety of the victims.

Speaking in Yoruba, the woman revealed that four of her grandchildren and her daughter-in-law were among those abducted during the incident. According to her, the daughter-in-law, who works as a teacher, was seen carrying a baby in a video that has since circulated widely on social media.

Overcome with emotion, she appealed directly to Governor Makinde and relevant security agencies to do everything possible to ensure the victims are rescued unharmed.

“Please help us for God’s sake. Have mercy on us. Four of my grandchildren and my daughter-in-law are with the kidnappers. My daughter-in-law, who is a teacher, is the woman carrying a baby in the viral video. Please help us. Please rescue our children,” she pleaded.

The woman’s appeal has drawn sympathy from members of the public, many of whom have called on authorities to expedite rescue operations and ensure the safe return of all those held captive.

The abduction has heightened fears among residents of the affected community, with families of the victims anxiously awaiting positive news regarding their loved ones.
