“I don’t know where I’ll begin” Abuja resident laments as heavy rainfall moves and submerges cars, collapses structures and destroys properties (video)

Residents are counting their losses after heavy rainfall resulted in a flash flood that wrecked havoc in Abuja. 
Videos shared online show cars submerged in flood water, machines destroyed, and parts of buildings that collapsed as a result of the flood. 
 

One resident who emerged from a building to see the damage done by the flood placed both hands on his head and looked dejected. 
 

Later, after the flood water receeded, he began showing the extent of the damage done. 
“The thing that happened here is not a small thing. Thank God I survived it. I dont know where I’ll begin” the man whose belongings were damaged in the flood lamented. 
He added: “I’ve never experienced this. This is my first time. Like, water is moving cars from a particular spot and will shift it to wherever it likes.” 
 

He referred to the incident as a “calamity”. 
The flood occurred suddenly. As a result, it didn’t give people time to evacuate whatever they could.
