“I Didn’t Know What Was Inside” — Elderly Woman Pleads Innocence As Residents Accused Her Of Stealing After Finding Screwdrivers, Chisels Found In Her Bag

An elderly woman has found herself at the centre of a tense confrontation after residents discovered screwdrivers and chisels inside her handbag, tools they suspect she intended to use for breaking into homes.

Confronted by a group of accusers, the woman firmly denied any involvement in burglary, insisting the bag itself was not something she had packed herself.

According to her explanation, she had purchased the bag secondhand at Kejetia Market in Kumasi and had no idea the tools were tucked inside until the accusation was made against her.

Visibly distressed, she is seen in the video repeatedly trying to walk her apprehenders through her account, hoping someone among them would take the time to listen and consider her side of the story.

Her efforts, however, appeared to fall on deaf ears, as those gathered around her seemed unconvinced and unwilling to give her explanation much weight.

It remains unclear whether the woman was eventually released, handed over to the police for further questioning, or subjected to further action by the residents involved.

However, looking at how she was tightly held by her dress, it appears she was dealt with.
