“I didn’t drop anything until after mid-year” — Davido replies after being mocked for missing Nigeria’s top 10 most-streamed artistes

Afrobeats star Davido has responded after a netizen mocked him for failing to make Nigeria’s top 10 most-streamed artistes at mid-year 2026.

Davido ranked 12th on the mid-year list released by TurnTable Charts, with 161.74 million streams.

Reacting to the criticism, Davido pointed out that he had not released new music during the first half of the year and argued that the ranking did not reflect his performance after his releases resumed.

“Did I drop anything H1 until after mid year? U clearly can’t read English! U fool make dem do am now na! Una go continue to dey cry!” he wrote.

He added: “I’ve had the biggest records every year for the last 4/5 years or more!”
