Hundreds rally in Stockholm against Israeli strikes on Gaza

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in central Stockholm to protest Israeli airstrikes on Gaza and restrictions on humanitarian aid entering the enclave on Saturday, Anadolu Agency reports.

The protesters, responding to a call by several civil society organizations, accused Israel of violating the ceasefire reached on Oct. 10, 2025, and demanded an immediate end to military operations.

Demonstrators carried banners reading “Children are being killed in Gaza,” “Schools and hospitals are being bombed,” and “End the blockade on food.” They also urged the Swedish government to halt arms sales to Israel.

A street theatre performance was staged in Odenplan Square to highlight the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israeli occupiers’ ceasefire violations have killed 1,031 Palestinians and injured 3,309 others as of Thursday.

More than 73,000 Palestinians have been killed, over 173,000 others injured, and around 90% of civilian infrastructure has been destroyed since the start of the war in Gaza on Oct. 8, 2023, according to local authorities.
