Heartless Thieves Caught On Camera Looting Newly Opened Supermarket Into A Trotro At Night
A young shop owner near SamJ Specialist Hospital at Haatso Ecomog in Accra is counting devastating losses after a group of men broke into her store in the early hours of Saturday, September 12, and cleared it out completely, an act caught in full by the shop’s CCTV cameras.
According to reports, the break-in occurred at around 3:30 a.m., with the men letting themselves into the shop and systematically loading its contents into a waiting commercial trotro.
The shop, which belonged to a young woman said to have only recently started the business, stocked essentials such as bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, and other valuable household items, all of which were reportedly carted away in the raid.
For a business still in its early stages, the loss represents a significant setback, one that has left the shop owner and her family reeling from both the financial blow and the violation of having their fresh start targeted so completely.
What may work in the family’s favour, however, is the clarity of the CCTV footage recovered from the scene.
The suspects, seemingly unaware that surveillance cameras were monitoring the area, were captured with their faces clearly visible, images the family is now circulating publicly in hopes that someone within the community might recognise them.
The family is appealing directly to the public for any information that could help identify and locate the men responsible, with the images already being shared widely online as part of the effort to bring them to justice.
Anyone with information is urged to come forward and assist the police with the ongoing investigation.
