Earlier, GistReel reported that the actor passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Evercare Hospital in Lagos after a battle with advanced metastatic kidney cancer.
Williams Uchemba Speaks On Alexx Ekubo’s Marital Status
In a recent interview, the actor disclosed that his friend tied the knot prior to his passing.
However, when the interviewer pressed for more details about Alexx Ekubo’s marital status, the actor emphasized that the deceased’s family was best placed to clarify.
”If anything would come out on that, it would be his family. I will respect his will and the fact that he wanted it that way”, He stated.

Meanwhile, Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo has shared details of her visit to Alex Ekubo’s wife following his passing.
In an Instagram post, Uche Jombo shared that during her visit, the actor’s wife spoke about him through tears and laughter.
Eventually, she left with a smile and expressed gratitude for his legacy lifetime.
“I thank God for your life, for your peace with him in the end. I’m sure you already know we got her. Love you and miss you ikuku”,She added.
