HAPPENING NOW: Tinubu’s Aide Reacts To Claim That Adelabu’s Sister Was Rescued But Oyo Children Are Still In Forest
Temitope Ajayi, the Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Media and Publicity, has responded to those who are making comparisons between the kidnapping of Bayo Adelabu’s family and that of the children in Oyo state.
Ajayi’s comments were included in a message he posted on his official X account on Sunday, June 7, 2026.
This announcement followed the news that the police had successfully rescued Bayo Adelabu’s kidnapped family members in Ibadan.
In the message shared by Temitope Ajayi on his official X account, he expressed that it is inappropriate to equate the kidnapping of Bayo Adelabu’s relatives with the abduction of children and teachers in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo.
He stated that those who abducted teachers and children in Oyo state are terrorists who function deep in the forest.
Here is what Temitope Ajayi wrote on his official X account:
“The two groups of criminals have distinct motives and plans. The children and their teachers from Ogbomoso will be freed, and the security forces do not show favoritism as wrongly asserted. The response to these two situations cannot be identical.”
