Gospel Singer Olabest Defends Colleague, Adeyinka Alaseyori Following Backlash Emanating From Recent Insecurity Comments

Gospel singer Olamilekan Adenuga, professionally known as Olabest has come to the defense of his colleague, Adeyinka Alaseyori, following the criticisms that has trailed her comments on the state of insecurity in Nigeria.

Recall that The Nigerian Voice reported on Tuesday, June 2nd, that Alaseyori during a live video asserted that the importance of prayers cannot be overemphasized amid the insecurity crisis and poor state of the economy.

She noted that the president may have ordered the armed forces to scan through forests to fish out the terrorists, yet they may be unable to locate them. She maintained that prayers will aid the efforts of the government.

Yinka’s comment did not sit down well with many netizens as numerous criticisms have trailed her comments, including condescending remarks.

Reacting to the criticisms, Olabest shared a photo of Adeyinka Alaseyori on his Instagram page, expressing his concern over the state of the country.

Defending Alaseyori, he stated that her comments were misinterpreted, emphasizing that prayer will always remain a feasible option in the times of situations like this.

Admonishing the public, he maintained that no one is happy with the happenings ongoing, however, he appealed for humanity and reduction in condemnation.

According to him, Nigerians need no condemnation, less outrage and more understanding in order to channel their energy to achieving a change.

He wrote:
“The country is bleeding Yesss,
We are all angry and unhappy
Infact personally it’s been tears upon tears each time I come across these videos, absolutely heartbreaking and no one is safe

This is no defence but I bet she didn’t mean it this way But Not every truth will and sincere concern will be understood. In times of uncertainty, wisdom teaches us that prayer is not a substitute for action, rather it is the foundation for divine direction, which was what she was insinuating

You see When a voice calls a nation to seek God, some may mock, others may misunderstand. But history and Scripture remind us that when challenges seem overwhelming, humble prayers have often preceded remarkable breakthroughs.

The truth is no one is happy and we are really venting our anger but This is just a clip from a whole live video, it’s not the first time AA is coming out ..

I humbly request humanity comes first and as Christians Let us be slow to condemn and quick to discern, this energy is really condescending, Nonone can force the government, we pray that they have listening hears and be inspired to take right steps cos in all honesty no one wants to be proseu*ted

Well Right now we need no condemnation, less outrage and more understanding, less criticism and more solutions let’s not be divided and channel our energy rightly

Blessed are the peacemakers…
May God heal our land, comfort the afflicted, and grant wisdom to all who speak and all who listen,

God bless Nigeria!
God bless Adeyinka Alaseyori.”
