“Get the Money Back or Leave” – Husband Reacts After Wife Donates ₦640,000 Salary to Church

A viral social media post has sparked widespread debate after a woman was reportedly given a one-week ultimatum by her husband to recover ₦640,000 she allegedly donated to her church as a seed offering or leave their matrimonial home.

According to the account shared online by a friend, the woman’s husband had played a major role in helping her secure a government job after years of unemployment. The couple reportedly work in the same ministry but at different branches.

The woman was said to have resumed work four months ago, and after staff received three months’ salary arrears, she was paid approximately ₦640,000. Her husband, who was aware that salaries had been paid, later asked about the money after noticing she hadn’t mentioned it.

According to the viral post, the woman told him she had donated the entire amount to her church as a seed offering.

The friend wrote:

“My friend’s husband helped her secure a job after years of being unemployed. He put in a lot of effort to make sure she got the slot. She resumed 4 months ago, and recently they paid them 3 months salary at once. Hers was about ₦640k. Her husband already knew they had been paid since he works in the same ministry, though in another branch. After a week, he noticed she didn’t mention the money, so he asked her about it. She told him she sowed the entire ₦640k as seed in church. Now he has given her one week to get the money back from her church or leave the house.”
