Nollywood actress and producer Funke Akindele has publicly shown support for skitmaker and actor Kamo as his recently released movie, “Starlomo,” faces attention following criticism over her absence from its premiere.

Akindele, in a social media post, congratulated Kamo on the movie and encouraged her followers to see it during the weekend.

“Starlomo. Let’s go see a good movie this weekend. Congratulations, Kamo. I wish you all the best at the box office,” she wrote.

Her message comes after some fans and social media users questioned her absence from the premiere and her perceived lack of public promotion for the film.

Some critics had suggested that Akindele’s absence was significant because of her professional relationship with Kamo, while others alleged that he had previously supported the promotion of one of her own movie projects.

However, Akindele’s latest post appears to reaffirm her support for Kamo and his latest project, while urging audiences to watch the film.

Kamo subsequently responded appreciatively to the actress, referring to her as “Iyami” and thanking her for her support.

“Iyami has spoken. Iyami, thank you so much. God bless you for all you,” he wrote.
