“Freedom at last” – DJ Chicken breaks silence following release from prison, shares experience

Controversial disc jockey DJ Chicken has broken his silence following his release from jail after he was arrested over allegations of threatening to kill President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu, if his father wins the 2027 presidential election.

The entertainer, who was recently freed after spending time in Kirikiri Correctional Centre, shared his excitement over regaining his freedom and expressed appreciation to those he believes played a role in securing his release.

In a video making the rounds online, DJ Chicken praised the Nigerian government, Seyi Tinubu and President Bola Tinubu while reflecting on his experience behind bars.

According to him, his time in the custody made him realise the importance of freedom and appreciate things many people take for granted.

“I’m back oo, freedom at last. God bless our government, God bless the Nigerian government, God bless Seyi Tinubu, God bless our president. I love you guys.

It’s not easy, my fans. To be a man is not a day job. When they brought food for me in the prison, I used to cry to God. Bread and beans is even better. They will offer you bread with Coke, things that I don’t eat. People that are free don’t know what God has done for them. Freedom is good.”

DJ Chicken further urged people to appreciate their freedom, noting that those who have never experienced confinement may not fully understand the value of being able to move around freely.

His comments have since generated reactions online, with many Nigerians celebrating his release, while others reacted to his prison experience and message to fans.
