Fans flock to Lekki theatres for Michael Jackson’s life story on screen

Fans flooded cinemas across Lekki, Lagos, on Sunday as the new Michael Jackson biopic drew massive crowds with its portrayal of the music icon’s life.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that nearly all cinemas in Lekki were fully booked for the highly anticipated film.

Viewers praised the production for blending music, emotion and storytelling into an engaging experience that held audiences from start to finish.

The biopic traces Michael Jackson’s journey from his early days as a child star to becoming the “King of Pop”. It highlights defining moments in his career and personal life.

Organisers say a sequel is in the works and could be released as early as December.

Moviegoers described the film as thrilling and emotionally resonant, praising its relatable portrayal of Michael Jackson and its faithful reflection of his artistry.
