Faithia Williams pays emotional tribute to late Ogogo

Faithia noted that he played a major role in helping her settle back into Nigeria after years in London, adding that his warm reception when she joined the Odunfa theatre group gave her a sense of belonging.

Nollywood actress and producer Faithia Williams has paid tribute to her late colleague and mentor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.

The actress, while speaking during the late actor’s eight-day Fidau prayer, opened up on Ogogo’s impact on her life and career.

Faithia noted that he played a major role in helping her settle back into Nigeria after years in London, adding that his warm reception when she joined the Odunfa theatre group gave her a sense of belonging.

She also described him as an honest and calm man.

“Ogogo wasn’t just a boss to me; he was someone who contributed greatly to my person when I came back from London to join Nigerians at Odunfa. He was there for me, and I was greatly and warmly welcomed. He was honest, peaceful and irreplaceable”, she said.

The veteran actor died on Sunday, August 23rd, after losing his battle with stage-four cancer.
