EYEWITNESS: ‘I pretended to be dead to escape from bandits’ – Survivor of Plateau attack

According to a report by Daily Post on Sunday, June 21, 2026, Isaac Dung, a 37-year-old father of three, has narrated the frightening moment he survived an attack in Rantiya community, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, after using a desperate survival method to avoid being killed by suspected armed attackers. Dung explained that the incident happened on Thursday night when gunmen invaded parts of the community, creating fear among residents.

He said the attackers moved into the area on motorcycles, leaving many people running for safety as the situation became chaotic.

The survivor revealed that he was returning from work when he noticed the presence of the armed men entering the community. According to him, it became obvious that the attackers were carrying out a violent operation, and he had to quickly decide how to save himself.......>>
