According to a report by The Punch on Friday, July 24, 2026, President Bola Tinubu encouraged Nigerian professionals living abroad, particularly those in the medical field, to consider returning home and contribute their expertise to the country’s development. He made the appeal while receiving members of the Nigerian Diaspora Medical Associations at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Reflecting on his personal journey, the President said his years abroad shaped his career and gave him valuable experience before he eventually returned to Nigeria.
