DSS Rescues Final Four Abducted Polytechnic Students
Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Zamfara State have successfully rescued the remaining abducted students of the Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda, without any ransom payment. Driven by strategic intelligence, the Wednesday operation comes just days after the security agency freed a kidnapped professor from Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
The intelligence-led raid safely recovered the final captive students from the criminal hideout. During the targeted crackdown, tactical operatives neutralized the armed gang, arresting one suspect while the remaining kidnappers did not survive the encounter.
The students were kidnapped on June 3 at their off-campus hostel in the Low-cost area of Kaura Namoda town after armed bandits stormed the building and seized six of them.
Following an earlier release of two of the six students, security forces intensified an intelligence-led operation, and surgically secured the safe return of the remaining students to the relief of all.
