Nigerian Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has added another major achievement to his music career.
The artist was announced as the winner of the Album of the Year at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards, AFRIMMA, with his latest project, 5IVE, on Tuesday.
Davido, who was the most nominated artiste of the year, earned five nominations across major categories and emerged ahead of a competitive list of nominees, including Burna Boy’s No Sign of Weakness, Asake’s M$NEY, Omah Lay’s Clarity of Mind and Black Sherif’s Top of The Morning Era.
He was also nominated for Artist of the Year, Best Male West Africa and the Crossing Boundaries With Music Award.
