Coachella 2027: Dates, Ticket Prices and How to Secure Your Spot Early
Coachella 2026 barely had time to cool down before the festival’s organisers dropped some news that will have fans reaching for their wallets again. Within hours of the second weekend closing out, dates for the 2027 edition were confirmed, and advance passes were thrown open for sale.
When Is It and Where?
Same place, same format. The Empire Polo Club in Indio, California plays host again, with the festival running across two separate weekends: April 9 to 11 and April 16 to 18, 2027.
So What’s This Advance Sale About?
Think of it as a first-come, first-served pricing window. Passes went live Friday, May 1, at 11 a.m. PT, structured in tiers that each carry a different price tag. Once a tier sells out, the next one kicks in at a higher rate. Bottom line: the earlier you buy, the less you spend.
No one has to pay the full amount upfront either. A $49 deposit holds your spot, with the balance split into monthly payments running through January 2027.
What Are Tickets Actually Going to Cost?
One thing worth knowing straight away: Weekend 1 is $50 pricier than Weekend 2 across every single category.
Standard General Admission for Weekend 1 opens at $599, then steps up to $649 and $699 as tiers close off. Weekend 2 GA starts lower at $549, topping out at $649. Either way, GA gets you three full days at the festival plus access to camping grounds.
Driving isn’t for everyone, so there’s a bundled GA and shuttle option that undercuts buying the two separately by roughly $20. Weekend 1 bundles land between $729 and $829, Weekend 2 between $679 and $779.
Going with a group? A four-person GA pack brings the per-ticket cost down. Weekend 1 group passes kick off at $589 a head, Weekend 2 at $539, both rising through the tiers.
VIP starts at $1,299 for Weekend 1, $1,249 for Weekend 2. That buys you faster entry lanes, preferred parking, shade structures, air-conditioned bathrooms, and premium spots near the big stages. The bar access is included, the drinks inside are not, and being VIP doesn’t automatically put you in the pit.
Camping, parking and shuttle passes are all separate purchases, and the festival has flagged that camping stock tends to disappear fast once the advance window opens.
Missed the Advance Sale? Here’s Your Next Move
Secondary platforms like Vivid Seats, SeatGeek and StubHub will have passes available if the official tiers sell through. You’ll pay more and prices bounce around depending on demand, but all three offer buyer guarantees that cover you against fakes or invalid tickets.
What About the Lineup?
Nothing confirmed yet, and that’s completely normal. Coachella almost always holds the lineup announcement until somewhere between September and January, long after the advance sale has come and gone. Buying now is really a bet on the festival itself rather than any particular headliner.
This year, Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber and Karol G topped the bill, with the xx, Turnstile, David Byrne and FKA twigs among those making the weekend worth the trip.
Worth Buying Now?
If Coachella is already on your radar for 2027, the advance window is genuinely the cheapest entry point you’re going to find. Prices climb as tiers close, and they don’t come back down. The payment plan removes some of the sting too. The lineup reveal can wait. The lower price tags, unfortunately, cannot.
