CHECK OUT Countries eliminated from the 2026 World Cup

Here are the countries that have been eliminated in the group stage of the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup, which commenced in June.

The race for the knockout stage at the 2026 FIFA World Cup has already produced its first eliminated teams. Despite having one group match remaining, Haiti, Türkiye, and Tunisia have all been mathematically ruled out of reaching the Round of 32.

Haiti became the first nation to exit the tournament after suffering defeats to Scotland (1-0) and Brazil (3-0) in Group C. With no points from two matches, the Caribbean side can no longer qualify.

Türkiye’s campaign in Group D ended in disappointment following a 2-0 defeat to Australia and a 1-0 loss to Paraguay. Despite dominating possession and creating numerous chances, the Crescent Stars failed to score a single goal in their opening two matches and are now out of contention.

Tunisia also saw their hopes dashed after a heavy 4-0 defeat to Japan, following a 5-1 loss to Sweden. The North Africans have conceded nine goals in two games and will head into their final group fixture against the Netherlands with only pride to play for.
