The former Assistant Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), Dennis Amachree, stated that the late Nigerian Head of State, General Sani Abacha, passed away from a heart attack while in the company of a pharmacist at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

As reported by Daily Post on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, Amachree shared this information in his recent book, where he recounted events that allegedly took place in the early morning hours of June 8, 1998.
