BREAKING: Leicester Has Announced The Departure Of Joseph Aribo.

As part of a larger summer purge revealed in their retained list released on Sunday, Leicester City has confirmed that Joe Aribo would depart the team once his loan period expires, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

Ten men’s first-team players will leave Leicester when their contracts expire this summer, according to an official statement posted on the team’s website. Aribo is among the loan players who will return to their parent clubs after their brief stints are over.

In addition to contract offers made to a number of young players as part of squad reorganization after relegation to League One, the club stated that five academy players had their extension options exercised.

Aribo, whose contract at Southampton is slated to expire in June 2026, is one of players returning to their original clubs after joining Leicester on loan.

The midfield player was reportedly reluctant to stay in England’s third division after Leicester’s relegation, and it was anticipated that he would leave after talks over a long-term transfer failed.

The club’s announcement stated, “In addition to those players, the loan stints of Jordan James, Aaron Ramsey, Joe Aribo, Dujuan Richards, and Divine Mukasa will all end and the players will return to their parent clubs.”

Leicester also announced the departure of a number of key players, including Patson Daka, Jordan Ayew, Jamaal Lascelles, academy graduate Wanya Marçal, and captain Ricardo Pereira, who departs after eight seasons and more than 200 games. Asmir Begović, the goalie, is still in negotiations for a potential deal.
