BREAKING: I’m Obi Supporter, And It Is Not Because Of My Ambition But Because Of The Person That He Is — Aisha Yesufu

Rights activist Aisha Yesufu has cleared the air about her political affiliation, stating firmly that she was never a member of the Labour Party.

“First of all, I was never in the Labour Party, and I think I’ve said this repeatedly, I am a Peter Obi supporter, and it is not because of my ambition but because of the person that he is” she said during an appearance on Arise TV.

Yesufu explained that she had only supported Peter Obi politically while being a member of the African Democratic Congress before later moving to the NDC.

She described her backing of Obi as purely personal, rooted in her belief in his character rather than any political ambition on her part.

“I gave my word to Peter Obi, and I see him as that person who has the empathy, who is patriotic, and who cares enough about Nigeria for him to work for Nigeria,” she said.
