BREAKING: He Spent 33 Days In ADC; Met Atiku, Tambuwal, El-Rufai; Same People He Called Political Enemies – Bature

According to a video posted on the official YouTube channel of Trust TV on Monday, May 25, 2026, Kano State Governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature, responded to recent comments made by former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, regarding the political crisis surrounding the Kwankwasiyya movement and recent defections in Kano politics.

Speaking during an interview on Sunday Politics, Bature defended Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf over claims that his political decisions would later become regrettable. He insisted that the governor’s move from the NNPP to the APC was based on political realities and had helped stabilize the ruling party in Kano State.

During the interview, Bature also questioned Kwankwaso’s recent political movements across different parties. According to him, “He spent 33 days in the ADC. He met with Atiku, Tambuwal, and El-Rufai. These are the same people he described as his political enemies.”

Bature argued that the former governor’s political engagements appeared inconsistent with his earlier public statements against some opposition leaders. He further claimed that Kwankwaso had continued to maintain relationships with several political parties at the same time.

The spokesman maintained that Governor Yusuf remains focused on governance and party unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
