According to a report by Daily Post on Friday, June 19, 2026, Wole Oluyede, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ekiti State, has stated that he does not operate under the influence of any political godfather, insisting that his political support base is rooted in the electorate rather than influential individuals within or outside the party structure.
